Home For The
Record is a compilation of noteworthy stories published
in B.C. newspapers as a result of using the B.C. Freedom
of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Compiled by
the British Columbia Press Council for the B.C.
Journalists Committee for Freedom of Information and the
citizens they serve.
"For The Record" is a collection of 157 stories
published from 1993 to early 1998 that shows the value
and importance of the FOI Act to the people of British
Columbia. It will also serve as a good reference book of
ideas for journalists and researchers.
Hard copies of the book are available from BCJC for $10
plus postage. All proceeds go to promoting access to open
government for journalists and the citizens they serve.
